Abstract

This study aims to explore the conditions and competencies of the D3 Civil Construction (KS) graduate year 2017-2019 study program graduates in the world of work. The results of this tracer study provide accurate information and data on the condition of graduates in the world of work as a basis for policymaking to improve graduate competence, evaluate and develop curriculum, improve and enhance the learning process, and as a requirement for institutional accreditation. The method used in this tracer study is descriptive exploratory. The population in this study were all alumni of the D3 Civil Construction study program majoring in Civil Engineering PNJ graduates from 2017 to 2019, totaling around 160 people. Sampling was done by using the proportional sampling technique. The results showed that D3 KS program graduates work as civil building executors, field supervisors, and quantity surveyors in the field of civil building construction. The average waiting period for graduates to get their first job is less than 3 months with the first salary of IDR 3 million - IDR 5 million. The level of mastery of core competencies, general knowledge, mastery of the internet, and graduate computers is quite high. Graduates' English communication skills are low. The soft skills of graduates that stand out in the ability to hold responsibilities, work under pressure, and the ability to work in teams.
