Google Site Media Development in Improving Spatial Thinking in Geography Subjects with Urban and Village Material at MA Roudlotul Hikmah Gresik

Abstract

This research develops a Google Site-based learning media to enhance students' spatial thinking abilities in geography subject, specifically on rural-urban material at MA Roudlotul Hikmah Gresik. Using R&D method with ADDIE model involving 30 grade XII social science students, the media was developed with interactive digital maps, timeline simulations, and interactive quizzes. Results show the media is highly valid (score 4.35/5.00), practical with positive responses from teachers (87.5%) and students (89.3%), and effective in improving spatial thinking abilities with N-Gain 0.49. Student activities also significantly increased in questioning, discussion, and concept explanation. Google Site proved effective in transforming learning from teacher-centered to student-centered approach
